Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is quickly becoming a hot topic in the academic world. More and more devices are becoming internet-enabled, elevating the importance of IoT in people's day-to-day lives. In this paper, we take a look at how the Artificial neural network (ANN)-based supervised machine learning solution for attack detection can be the remedy for Intrusion Detection. If the rogue nodes can be identified in time, the network can be protected from the attack's devastating repercussions. Parameter adjustment has resulted in optimal values for the hyperparameters. This paper's model successfully identified each of the aforementioned attacks concurrently and separately. In addition to precision, this analysis considered recall, F1, and the Mathews correlation coefficient (MCC).
