Abstract

Change instead of staying the same has become a motto for successful life and education has been accepted as a means to bring about systematic change but educational change has lagged behind in the race of rapidly changing conditions brought about by social changes. It is being demanded that changes should be made in education according to the aspirations and goals of the people. Efforts are being made by educationists to improve the education system through new ideas, new programmes, new methods and techniques which we call 'educational innovation'.

Change is the eternal law of creation. Change brings newness in the world. Every moment the world is changing. Changes are also taking place in the society every moment. New beliefs are taking the place of old beliefs. Old ideas are going, new ideas are coming. New values are taking the place of old values. If the water remains stagnant, it will rot. If the flow of water continues, the water will remain pure. Similarly, the society which wants to remain stable, remains in the status quo. Does not accept new ideas, it cannot survive. By adopting new ideas, the society gets a new life. New energy comes in him and he always gets the leading position. One such feature is found in social change, which is not targeted in world change. Social changes can be made systematically
